The Seattle Times is reporting the new owners of Seattle’s venerable Smith Tower has designs on converting it to condos. At one time, Smith Tower was the tallest building on the west coast. Just wanted to query people about WAP sites. WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol, the standard for wireless devices. Essentially, it would make websites optimized for mobile devices such as cell phones and PDAs. Charles Richey mentioned this a while back but it didn't garner many responses. Amid the talks of bubble trouble Seattle condo resales in thea city center neighborhoods fared quite well in 2006. Although, not at the sales or appreciation levels experienced in 2004 and 2005, last year reflected continued growth and upward values.

The Downtown Seattle Association hosted its 2007 State of Downtown Economic Forum on Feb. 9th providing an overview of current and future downtown livability issues, planning and development.
