What seemed dead a few weeks ago is being given a second chance. The Senate has attached the condo conversion bill to another affordable housing measure. If passed, it will go into House-Senate reconciliation as the House’s version of the affordable housing measure does not include the conversion bill.

King County Sales Tax to increase April 1st - 03/25/07 02:26 AM
The King County Sales Tax, within the Regional Transit Authority, will raise from 8.8% to 8.9% on April 1, 2007.  For restaurants, bars and coffee shops, the rate will increase to 9.4%.  The extra .5% is to pay off Safeco Field debt.

February Condo Market Update - 03/05/07 05:38 PM
February rebounded from a slow January start with condos in Seattle’s core neighborhoods realizing healthy increases, based on median sold prices. Though, average sold prices did take a tumble.  For the most part inventory remained stable while the number of closed sales increased in February compared to January.
