This is one of the coolest things to do in Prince William County.. The Leesylvania Canoe Tours are great. 
On SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS EVERY WEEKEND THROUGH SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH. Enjoy a gentle 2 hour canoe trip on Powell's Creek.
First participants are taught canoe safety and paddling instruction. During the tour you will Pass an active beaver lodge, railroad structures, osprey nests and more. 10am-5pm.
You should bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, proper foot wear. Must register 24 hours in advance. Children under 4 are not allowed.  Call for info on Moonlight tours.

Historic Occoquan Fall Arts and Crafts Show - 07/24/09 10:42 PM
Every year my family goes to this festival, the Occoquan Fall Festival is wonderful.  They only allow foot traffic, so you have to park at the commuter lot and catch one of the continuous shuttles running all day.
Ther are Arts, Crafts, vendors, food, liver entertainment...the festival runs for 2 days Saturday 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
No admission fee required and it is accessable to the disabled. Come join the fun!

Haymarket Festival Day: Haymarket, VA - 07/24/09 10:22 PM
Haymarket is a small town in Western Prince William County.. you literally could drive across it in about 10 minutes.  Every year the town has a festival that is filled with fun activities for everyone.  They have Judged Crafters (jewelry, clothes, lamps, candles, frames, floral arrangements, towels, etc.), commercial businesses, great food (Homestyle fried chicken, fried fish, hot dogs, BBQ Ribs, Oriental, hamburgers, funnel cakes, corn pudding, home made cakes, pies and ice cream)

Beyond the Battlefield: TheCivil War in Prince William County Van Tour - 07/24/09 10:10 PM
Prince William County was  the location of many battles during the Civil War.  There are other location in the county that were impacted by the war.  This touw will take you to other locations in the county that have  significance that are not normally open to the public. Tour will include a walking tour of Occoquan, Liberia Plantation, Brentsville and Chapman's Mill. Space is limited, reservations required. Cost includes admission to sites and a boxed lunch. I think short refinance is a brilliant idea... why should homeowners who are having  a hard time, be forced out of their homes, if they can afford a mortgage on the appraised value of their home.

Konnie I feel ya hon.. I was working with a client to refinance, they could not.. too much under water, they called their mortgage company to get a modificaiton, nope on that too... not sure what people are supposed to do.. Making homes affordable... hmmmmm

Prince William County Soccer: PWSI Fire Advance To Virginia State Cup Finals - 07/24/09 07:09 PM
What can I say.. PWSI has it going on..they have an awesome organization for youth soccer, anyone relocating to the area looking for youth soccer, travel soccer this is the best...we  had a great experience.

 Prince William County has one of the best youth soccer associations in Virginia.  They are organized, and the kids get fantastic training.  My son has been on a Prince William Team (PWSI) since he was 14.  He is now 19 and has graduated from high school and is playing soccer in college.

Staying Calm Under Pressure...What I learned from this group of young comedians... - 07/24/09 08:16 AM
I will have to say I was quite impressed with these young men.  I have watched them for almost 6 years, they are the most talented, well adjusted kids (now men I suppose) I've ever met.  It will be sad not to see them play as a group anymore, as this only comes around once in a lifetime.
