Becoming an expert in an area takes research. Museums are rich in local area culture, history and facts that can lead you to contacts and better yet, interesting stories. Interesting stories about the local history, mountains, architecture or industry can be useful as "ice breakers" with clients. If you are not familar with the term "ice breakers" it's ok, it's a fancy name for "Building rapport". Stories can allow a client to get familar with an area. cochise county: I love the library...GREEN EGGS AND HAM - 03/03/08 03:43 PM
When I was little my Mom took me to the library. She read me Green Eggs and Ham. It was scary to me because the Doctor Suess characters looked strange and weird. I did enjoy the iambic pentameter and various rhyme that the poetry exuded however. I began memorizing books and my uncles would give me a nickel to look like I was reading. That is totally a true story. Call my Mother and ask her.
I love libraries and can be seen at the Cochise College library in between appointments.
