For some rehabbers, the dirt has to be removed before the plan can be made. The space has to be felt. The home has to talk to the owner. For other rehabbers, the record of baby steps is important so they don't lose their vision. Progress can seem very slow. In (2 comments)

Last Thanksgiving I blogged about a tiny house we purchased for rehabbing. There are rules I have set for myself regarding homes purchased to rehab and this poor little house violated many of those rules. It was too small. It only had one bedroom. Some rules are meant to be broken. I don't recommend it for rehabbers, but I'm as susceptible as the next person when it comes to emotionally buying. Breaking the rehabbing rules can cost money, however! This little house is an example of broken rehab rules. It's the latest project on my rehab screen. (12 comments)
