‘Green Labels’ Confuse Me! - 02/10/12 11:11 AM
I want to re-blog this great post by Laura Gianotta. As we all try to be more Green with our efforts to update our homes, the paint choices can be confusing. This post helps explain the variety of new Low-VOC paints. The "Green" and Low VOC designations vary quite a bit. This post will help you to choose the right paint for your home.
Cheers,
Betina

Everyone needs a home. Nature is no exception. Househunting is a spring event. - 02/07/12 10:52 AM
Today as I sipped my morning coffee on the back deck I heard lots of singing birds. Now this is not strange as I have several bird feeders and bird houses in my half acre yard. For five years I have had a family of Wrens that set up housekeeping on the backside of my temperature gage on the pack porch. What I did not expect was to be able to watch a pair of Carolina Wrens house hunting. One of the birdhouses that has been in my yard for ten years was under scrutiny. One of the Wrens was perched on the … (4 comments)

Whats happening with Austin roads in 2012. Toll roads increase and Mopac is slated to get express lanes in 2012. - 02/02/12 11:51 AM
Living in Austin is a challenge getting around because so many people have moved here over the last 10-20 years and our roads are not handling the increased usage very well. So we have several road projects in the works for 2012. Many of these projects are slated to be completed this year, which will add more miles to our local roads since 2007 when the first toll roads were completed.

The Y at Oak Hill- This does not appear to be a Toll road yet, and this project has begun the preliminary work for the eventual expansion from two … (0 comments)
