As a 20 year Austinite I have had the opportunity to dine out at variety of great restaurants. They run the gamut from fine dining to burgers and shakes. If you give me just one minute I may be able to help you find some of the best meals in Austin.

I just ate the best burger of my life. Ok that is a pretty bold statement to some people, but I think it is true. My photographer friends, Laura Barton and Judy Wilder of "Barton Wilder Custom Images" took me to Phil's. I hated to admit to them that I had not been to Phil's yet. In my defense it is far north of the river, and I am a south/central Austin girl.

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are finding a way to beat the dog days of summer. Today I want to share a few of my favorite places to hang out around Zilker Park. These restaurants are part of "Restaurant Row on Barton Springs Road. Go try them out quickly before they are torn down to make room for more condos!

Its late summer and school is about to start. What can you do for fun with the kids before summer is gone?? I have a few suggestions. I shall list them in no particular order. Some are in Austin and others are just a short drive.
