Oregon Real Estate Commissioner, Gene Bentley, reported in the December 2008 issue of Oregon Real Estate News Journal, "In addition to the Agency's proposals, the real estate industry has indicated interest in submitting proposed legislation to 'raise the bar' for principal real estate brokers . . . " Currently, the requirement for an Oregon real estate broker who wants to become a principal broker is to complete the 40 hour Brokerage Administration and Sales Supervision ("BASS") course and to have a minimum of three years of
