One of the scariest places. - 02/26/09 08:05 PM
With all the talk about Socialized Healthcare (aka Universal Healthcare) you'd think that people would just go and visit your local version of what the Socialist want to give you.  Go pay a nice long visit to the nearest Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital and be sure to talk to the veterans sitting there waiting and praying to be seen by a doctor.  And then place yourself in their position.
If you do not come away scared - Your dead
I am a veteran and I will not walk into one of those hospital.

Not Politically Correct: Who me? - 02/26/09 04:48 PM
The other day I was sitting at a table with some other politically minded people. We started talking about some of the requirement paperwork we must complete from time to time.  We started to laugh about how in today's PC society that with each passing year we see more and more PC terms in our everyday lives.
Two weeks ago I completed a state survey with a graduated scale that ran from Least Best to Better than Most.  Oh give me a break!  I crossed off the Least Best and wrote in Worst.  I replaced Better than Most with Best.  The government … (5 comments)

Orginal Intent - 02/22/09 05:08 AM
I have just finished a book entitled "Orginal Intent" by David Barton.  It was a very interesting read in that it covers the Founding Father's intent with regard to religion.
It shows also shows how judicial activism have degraded State's rights, local authority and the Constitution.

I high recommend this book as an eye opening read.  **Warning: It might make you mad!**

What is up next from the Socialist? - 02/15/09 10:27 AM
What will be the next attack on our American way of life of our Socialist Government?
I see two battles on the Democrats' agenda:
The Fairness Doctrine, which attempts to control free speech on radio and TV.  This is a bill that will try to push conservative talk shows off of TV and radio. The Employee Free Choice Act (The Card Check Bill), which takes away the secret ballot and other choices in union votes. But, with these socialist, you know these will not be the only ones.

Is Obama to Big To Fail? - 02/14/09 05:29 AM
Has the news media made Obama too Big, too Important to History, or have they invested so heavily in Obama's election to report the truth?
I see a news media (in general) that is no longer reporting the whos, the whats, the wheres, the whens or the whys.  The news reporters of the past would have been all over this "Stimulus" Spending Bill and asking the tough questions.
Most people who call themselves a Journalists are in reality nothing more than lowly Entertainers.
The news media has painted themselves into a corner with their support of Obama and can not report the turth … (8 comments)

The Democrats "Joe the Plumber" - 02/10/09 03:23 PM
Well the Democrats found their "Joe the Plumber" today! Here is the last question from Obama's Fort Myers, Flordia townhall meeting. Meet Joe the Hamburger Flipper. The Democrats will probably not use him; but you never know. Another title I almost went with was "Another worship service in the House of Obama". … (7 comments)

Democrats Plan is an attack on Your Faith! - 02/10/09 11:43 AM
On February the 5th Senator Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) speaks on the floor about his amendment that would strike language permitting religious discrimination contained in the Democrat stimulus bill. This is another example that this "stimulus" bill is not about stimulating the economy; but, it is about liberal control over the country and it population. … (11 comments)

Stop the Obama Spending Bill - 02/09/09 07:59 AM
The Obama Spending Bill is looking like it is going to pass; but just barely.  It looks like it is going to come down to three Republican votes Arlen Specter (PA), Susan Collins (ME), and Olympia Snowe (ME).
If you look at the past voting records of the the two Senators from Maine you will find they vote more along socialist lines (i.e. Democrat) than Capitalist lines. Arlen Spector has always been a closet Socialist.
So, I was not surprised to see these three 'Republicans' throw their support behind this train and their children in front of it.
John McCain pointed out "Having … (8 comments)

Failed 771 times and still trying! - 02/06/09 05:39 PM
This is one of those stories that shows great motivation or great stupidity.  My wife heard on the radio about this grandmother who has failed her driving test 771 times and she says she will continue to try until she passes it.  Now most people would have stopped at failing a test 3 or 4 times; But, 771.
Well, she get an A+ for perseverance.

Sellers - Look Around.... - 02/05/09 12:26 PM
If you are selling your home look at the number of homes for sale in your neighborhood and within one mile of your home.  These homes are your competition and you must stand out from those homes in order to sell.

What everyone will do is:
Mow the grass. Clean up the outside. Clean up the inside. A little paint here and there. I think you get the idea. What very few will do is have the home they are selling inspected by a home inspector.
A Seller's Inspection will:
The seller can choose a certified InterNACHI inspector rather than … (2 comments)

New Era of Responsibility - 02/05/09 10:05 AM
Obama's New Era of Responsibility - Boy was that short!
For me an era is a long period of time not 16 days.  But that is the new Obama definition of era, the time it takes to say the word "era".
Most Presidents have always had at least one or two of their nominees that turn out to have some problems.
But Obama's list of problematic nominees is already at an unbelievable level.
So who is next............

And the French are right? - 02/03/09 10:11 AM
I read this almost fell out of my chair after reading the French Prime Minister's Stimulus Plan for their country.  Now, I really have no great respect for the French; but, Francois Fillon on Monday rejected demands that the French government follow Obama's socialist style of stimulus package to spend their way out of these hard economic times.  Francois Fillon is going to stimulate corporate and infrastructure investment from the private sector, to lift France out of its economic slump.
"It would be irresponsible to chose another policy, which would increase our country's indebtedness without having more infrastructure and increased competitiveness in the end," Fillon said … (8 comments)

Weatherman says "What Global Warming". - 02/01/09 08:02 PM
On Friday I was listening to the radio and heard this letter from John Coleman the founder of the Weather Channel.  In the letter he explains the story behind the global warming or I should say the global warming scam.
It is a little long; but is really worth the read.   SAFETY WARNING:  I do not expect the liberals on ActiveRain to read the letter because it might cause their brains to implode.
Here is the link to the letter - Enjoy.

Who is the Pot and Who is the Kettle? - 02/01/09 05:55 AM
A day after the House passes Obama $825 billion stimulus spending package, the President actually sat there complained about corparate bonuses of more than $18 billion and the lack of responsibility.  He used phrases like "the height of irresponsibility", "shameful" and "and part of what we're going to need is for the folks on Wall Street who are asking for help to show some restraint, and show some discipline, and show some sense of responsibility."
Now, I really do not have a problem with what was said; but, who said it and why he said it.

I see Obama trying to move the view of the people off … (16 comments)
