This week one of Ohio's favorite "little cities" hosts the annual Pickerington Violet Festival  and has seen over 1/4  million visitors in the past ten years. http://www.violetfestival.org. The Pickerington Violet Festival runs from Wednesday, July 28th thru Saturday July 30th and will be held at Victory Park. This year it's chock full of entertainment and events to appeal to the entire family.

Kingston Crossing/Walnut Bluff Celebrates One Year - 07/14/10 11:45 PM

On June 26th, the Kingston Crossing/Walnut Bluff Blockwatch celebrated its first year of operation at the Far East Price Center, 2500 Park Crescent Drive in Reynoldsburg. http://development.columbus.gov/content.aspx?id=22512

It has been one year since the formation of the Kingston Crossing/Walnut Bluff Block watch and it has made great strides toward getting set-up, and has already sponsored several community activities. During its first year, it sponsored several community awareness campaigns (drug and safety) as well as a Halloween costume contest.

Columbus, Ohio boasts one of the largest annual 4th of July fireworks shows in the U.S. People come from all over the state, as well as other points in the Midwest, to view this spectacular display of pyrotechnics and enjoy the special events. This year the Red White and Boom Fireworks were produced by Pyrotecnico, located in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
