So I have read many, many, many blog posts on Active Rain and some have better information and some have great illustartions artwork and animations. Do you do it in the editor or cut and paste from another program? i want to add better graffics etc but I do not know how so if you all wanted to help me out it would be much appreciated.

Get a Gun and Kill the Guy! - 02/18/11 08:54 AM
I was looking at videos on YouTube and came across this one. I know she was kidding but on national TV it may have been one of the top ten dumbest things I have heard a Real estate agent say. What will happen if someone takes her tongue in cheek advice? Wow, I looked through the NAR Code of Ethics and I did not see anything regarding mirder or stupidty so I guess she is ok there!

Open House Safety - 02/16/11 09:38 AM
OPEN HOUSE SAFETY

Open Houses are the bread and butter for many real estate agents. They are also the bread and butter for many thieves. It scares me to think of FSBO owners who hold open houses and do not know what they are doing. I give my clients a safety check list for before and after my open houses. Many individuals are now coming to open houses and trying to steal jewelry or small expensive items and even more prevalent is the looting of medicine cabinets. How do we combat this? The first step is to conduct the house … (7 comments)

Agent Safety Part 1 - 02/15/11 11:08 AM
It seems we are having a big upswing lately of agents being robbed at home showings and some even being assaulted or killed. Part of the problem is the economy part is the way our country is sliding into a no-mans land at times. As agents we need to be aware of our surroundings and able to protect ourselves but we also need to use common sense and be smart about safety at property showings. The link is NAR pdf on safety.

Real Estate College Degrees - 02/14/11 09:31 AM
I have a degree from college in Real Estate, so I may be a bit biased in my opinions. It is too easy to become a real estate agent, take a class over two weeks and go take a test and POOFthe Real estate Commission waves its magic wand and you are a real estate agent able to handle multi-million dollar homes. This seems crazy to me that we let someone who has no experience whatsoever to handle the largest and most important financial transaction of someones life. Literally you could go from working at McDonalds then three weeks later be … (0 comments)

Dangers of being a Realtor - 02/09/11 12:45 PM
How many of us get in our cars run around showing properties , meeting clients etc and text or look up info while driving? I used to do it all the time. This video realy brought home the stupidity of it all. We are a fast paced industry but we need to be aware of how we are putting not only ourselves but others on the road in danger. For Realtor safety week this should be added as one of the things to be thought about.

This video shows how a driver can KILL themselves, their passenger, a person on … (1 comments)
