My husband bought our first Humboldt County CA Home 4 years ago.  We were living in a small Eureka CA apartment in a really cool original Victorian Duplex that had been chopped up into 3 units.  We weren't married at the time, heck he didn't even propose to me yet.

Yesterday, I had a meeting with my clients who are first time homebuyers.  Originally when they approached me several months ago to help them search for a starter home.  To respect their privacy I have changed their names to Shannon and Jeremy.  After meeting Shannon and Jeremy, I referred them to one of the local lenders that I work with frequently in Eureka, CA.  Although they qualified for a 100% financed loan to buy a home at the lower end of the market in Eureka, California, they still needed to save enough money to pay for their closing costs.While it took … (4 comments)
