Matthew 20:1-16 Shows up in an ABR Class - 03/27/11 09:22 AM
I had an interesting moment this week while instructing the two day ABR class. On page 1 of the class, the students are confronted with the definition of a Fiduciary. " In an agency relationship, the agent puts the best interests of the client above the interests of all parties ,including the agent's." This definition is nearly identical to that which is taught in the text book used to teach the PA state license exam. Later in the course(Day 2), students are posed with a number of what if's. One of them is "The MLS offer of compensation is more than (11 comments)

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'
'Yes sir,' the student says.

'Are you good or evil?'
'The Bible says I'm evil.'
The professor grins knowingly. 'Aha! The Bible! He considers for a moment. 'Here's one for you. Let's (19 comments)

And the community of Christian believers are now, more than ever-spiritually speaking-exiles in a land of exile." Author Christian Smith researches the question, What's it like to be an 18 to 23 year old in America? His research finds that this age group's emergence into full adulthood is coming considerably (8 comments)
Lancaster Bible College to offer a PhD in Leadership Studies - 03/12/11 11:49 AM
As an alumni of Lancaster Bible College(LBC), I was reading through my quarterly LBC magazine, echo. One of the featured articles was the announcement of LBC being approved to offer a Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership starting in September of 2011. LBC stands alone in this offering in it's efforts to develop servant leaders for global impact. This is congruent with LBC's vision statement"to be a premier learning community that intentionally develops the head, heart, and hands of servant ministry leaders for global impact." This program is designed to develop biblical servant leaders who: 1. are values driven, possessing a deep (3 comments)
