real estate: Phoenix Real Estate - 07/06/08 09:30 PM
I was looking at the Phoenix Real Estate site this morning and I noticed this article about Real Estate Consumers Spending more time on major real estate sites.  It led me to think about whether that is a good thing or a bad thing.
Basically,  Realtor.com and Move.com announced that during May 2008, consumers continued to increase time spent searching real estate on the Move Network, including Realtor.com. The homes-for sale web site announced that recent year-over-year data from comScore indicated that minutes spent per unique user in May 2008 grew by six percent on REALTOR.com and by three percent on … (1 comments)

real estate: Location, location, location - 06/29/08 01:02 PM
Jokes Funny
A real-estate agent was driving around with a new trainee when she spotted a charming little farmhouse with a hand-lettered “For Sale” sign out front.
After briskly introducing herself and her associate to the startled occupant, the agent cruised from room to room, opening closets and cupboards, testing faucets, and pointing out where a “new light fixture here and a little paint there” would help. Pleased with her assertiveness, the woman was hopeful that the owner would offer her the listing.
“Ma’am,” the man said, “I appreciate the home-improvement tips and all, but I think you read my sign … (5 comments)

real estate: Arizona Housing Trust Fund at Risk - 06/25/08 10:44 AM

The Arizona House budget is recommending a $30 million sweep for the Arizona Housing Trust Fund (HTF), including $3.1 million from program funds, which would eliminate HTF for 2009 and slash Arizona Department of Housing (ADOH) staff.
What is worse, is that they want to change the funding source from the current % from unclaimed funds to a legislative appropriation, which makes the HTF vulnerable every single year.
Action:
Call or email the House and Senate leadership and remind them that now is not the time to cripple Arizona's housing industry further. Call or email the Governor's office and ask … (1 comments)

Real Estate Jokes - Blocking the View
In Real Estate you meet a variety of interesting people.
Some are more interesting than others.
Showing a home recently to a couple, they seemed eager to check out the view from the living room.
When I pulled back the drapes covering the large front window, the disappointed husband asked, "Where is the view? Those mountains must be blocking it."

real estate: Arizona MLS and Phoenix Real Estate News - 06/11/08 04:42 PM
A couple of the East Valley Living major real estate resource pages are moving. People searching for Arizona MLS on Google have always found ARMLS - the Arizona Regional Multiple Lisitng Service listed at number one.  Since around 2003, they have found number 2 and #3 (or sometimes #3 and #4) to be the useful and worthwhile page they are actually searching for.  Google is sometimes funny like that. Consumers searching for something they will find useful don't always get what they are looking for because the commercial interests win out.
Due to a major redesign of the East Valley Living … (2 comments)
