Bird of Prey Visits Greer Ranch, Murrieta 92562I looked out into my courtyard and was greeted with an unusual sight… a bird of prey resting on my courtyard fence.

I have no idea what type of bird this is… Falcon or Hawk? (Is there a difference?) Either way, it was quite a spectacle.

He relaxed for about 20-minutes while I snapped photos of him from inside my home. All the while he kept his eye on me, watching me like a… well… like a Hawk! ;)

Two days ago during the late afternoon I snapped a photo of the moon rising over snow-topped mountains.

Here's a close-up of the moon.

Tonight (two days later), I snapped a photo of the rising full moon in the far-off distance, cradled by the same snow-topped mountains. The moon is so bright, it almost looks like the setting sun.

It’s been unseasonably warm here in Murrieta CA during the last few days, with temps in the 70’s and 80’s. Even so, there’s still snow in the mountains!
