I live in Hart, MI which is located on the west side of Michigan and approximately 6 miles from Lake Michigan.  Hart is a quaint and quiet little town and would go totally unnoticed if it weren't for the Silver Lake Sand dunes and a little town called Pentwater.  You can exit at Hart to get to the sand dunes and you drive past our exit to get to Pentwater if you are among the usual hoards of people coming from the south during the summer!  We all love to see Memorial weekend come because the tourists come back and the business picks up.  When Labor Day comes we are excited to get back to "normal" but sad to see the business go!  I never take a summer vacation because quite frankly, I live on a lake and am where the people go to have fun!  What would it be like to jump in my car and drive north on a Friday in anticipated excitement of my cabin up north?  Sorry, don't have an answer for that one.  I absolutely love Oceana County, Hart, Pentwater, Silver Lake and even you Shelby:)  I wish everyone could live here, but then, I would have to go north to enjoy the peace and quiet!!!  If you have never been here, come take a look!  If you were here this past year and before, COME ON BACK!!  We'll be waiting for you!!!  When I learn more about blogging, I will add special things to my post!
