Hi Everybody,
I hosted an Open House today and had one of my biggest turn-outs ever!!  I lost count of how many groups came through.  Yee Ha!!
In the last few weeks, my phone has been ringing a lot from both Agents calling on my listings and new Buyers calling on my listings.
I received an offer today on one of my listings, and have been told that an offer will come in on another one of my listings sometime tomorrow!

Skagit County Real Estate Market Report by Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight - 01/27/08 11:10 AM
The Skagit County Real Estate market is one of the best markets in the Nation! According to the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) Their report, released November 29, 2007 says that the Mount Vernon-Anacortes, WA Metrpolitan Statistical Area ranked 30th in the Nation of the 287 areas measured for percent change in house prices. - Our market is better than 89% of the Nation. According to the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight, the Mount Vernon-Anacortes, WA Metropolitan Statistical Area had the 30th best housing market in the country of the 287 metropolitan statistical areas measured.  We have slipped a bit, last year we were the 3rd best, but we are still doing better than 89% of the Nation, and that isn't bad at all!
Our strong market is not limited to our local area.  The Seattle-Bellevue-Everett Market ranked 19th overall.  In the state rankings, Washington was the 5th best state overall. So, unless you want to live in Utah, Wyoming, Montana, or New Mexico you … (0 comments)

In 2007 Washington was pounded pretty hard with rain.... There was devistating flooding in Southern Washington that destroyed a lot of homes and closed I-5 for days.In 2006 Washington was pounded pretty hard by wind storms... I remember that at one point, over a million people were without power.Fortunately Skagit County was let off pretty easy by mother nature in both of these storms. Skagit County had damage, but we were not devistated by the storms like other areas were.... Next Year Keep Vista Away From the Space Needle! - 01/01/08 02:29 AM
Wow, I stayed up to watch Seattle's "New Year's At The Needle" fireworks extravaganza coordinated to movie theme songs.
The 8 minute show lasted about 12 minutes because the fireworks kept stopping, the music played with no fireworks, the fireworks went off sporatically with and without music, and finally some guy just went around manually setting them off....
Oops!
At least the 5 coordinated marriage proposals went off without a hitch... well that is except for the guy that dropped the engagement ring in the grass... All the women said Yes!
