nehemiah: Any word on the Bill to SAVE the Down Payment Assistance Programs? - 08/22/08 12:08 PM
Hi,
I know that the Downpayment Assistance Programs are on the blocks to go away at the end of September thanks to the recently signed Housing Bill.  However, I also know that there is a new Bill specifically trying to save the Down Payment Assistance programs.
Do you know where that Bill stands?  Is it likely to pass?  Personally, I like the DPA system.  That or Zero Down FHA loans... Either way, I'm good with it.
Thanks for your feedback!

nehemiah: Help Save the FHA Down Payment Assistance Programs! - 08/06/08 12:23 PM
Call To Action!!!
An unfortunate part of the recently signed housing legislation is slated to eliminate the Downpayment Assistance programs that allow Sellers to contribute the FHA loan down-payment through programs like Nehemiah.
There is a new proposal, H.R. 6694 that would save the Downpayment Assistance programs.  I encourage you to write your representative and encourage them to Approve H.R. 6694.  The Nehemiah Program is making it easy to write your representative, simply visit http://www.GetDownPayment.com and follow the link under the Countdown Clock.
The Downpayment Assistance Programs have helped thousands of Buyers get a home!

Another unfortunate provision of the housing bailout legislation is that FHA loans will require 3.5% down … (0 comments)

The primary objectives of … (1 comments)
