In an article released today, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) announced that existing-home sales rose in July to the highest level in 5 months!!
In the article, NAR's chief economist Lawrence Yun states that home prices in some regions could soon increase!
How does this relate to our little corner of the world in Skagit County??

I just read a blog post by Steve Jacobs about some agents not returning phone calls and it got me thinking. I've been using a policy for handling telephone calls for a while that I'm pretty happy and comfortable with, but I'm curious as to what other agents policies/practices for the phone are.
Here's my policy:If I'm available, I answer the phone 9am to 9pm 7 days a week. If I'm with another real estate agent, I answer the phone unless they are bringing me an offer or vice versa. If I'm with a customer, I only answer the phone if it is my wife (she has … (9 comments)

I recently learned that Skagit Valley Paintball has an indoor arena. Anyone been there? How is it? I'm a little curious and thinking that maybe we should get some real estate agents and lenders out there...
I can think of several that could use shooting!! - um what I really mean is that it would be a nice way to meet other agents/lenders in a unique setting filled with teamwork and a lot of other politically/socially correct stuff... ya, that... ;-)

Saturday Night September 1st will be Round 15 of the Skagit Racing Series. The 410s, 360s, SSm Hornets, and 1200s will all be on hand for this last night of racing. It is the Coach CorralSeason Championships and Fireworks Extravaganza!

The Big Lake Bar and Grill will be hosting a Car Show on Sunday September 2nd, 2007.
Good food including the Outdoor Barbecue and Classic Cars. Sounds like fun to me!
Every Thursday Night, they are still doing the All You Can Eat Prawns dinner as well... I've been a few times this year and they're always great!!
