Yes, we've all seen Poltergeist, where the family home is built on an old Indian burial ground. Well, here are a few stories of actual homeowners who made truly creepy discoveries after moving in to their new homes!
First up, yes, an actual Old Burial Ground!
In Jefferson Wisconsin when Helen Weisensel bought her house, she didn't know it was built on top of an old cemetery -- and the bodies were still there. Yikes!
She actually owned the home for over 20 years and made the discovery when she hired a contractor to start a remodelling job on her home.

Thanks again activerain! Nearing 10,000 fans on my '365 Things to do...' page! - 10/22/11 01:28 PM
Last year, I read several posts about launching a '365 Things...' page and decided to go ahead and give it a try. I launched '365 Things to Do in Omaha, NE' and had some great early success, as I outlined in a blog entry from April of last year entitled "1000 fans in 36 hours! Thanks Active Rain!"
Here are a few things that I learned as I'm nearing 10,000 fans.

...according to underwriters. 
I certainly understand the extra scrutiny given the history of the lending fiasco that we've been through but c'mon people, let's use a little common sense here. 
The climate of qualifying for a loan has now become a 'guilty until proven innocent' fiasco.
Two current cases in point.
1) an agent in my office is involved in a transaction now in which the buyers are cashing in gold for their down payment. These are gold coins that have been passed down for generations.
