canyon county: Ada County Home Sales For April - 05/05/08 12:33 PM
The most frequently asked question right now is "Are any houses selling?" Some folks seem surprised when I tell them, yes, homes are selling in the Treasure Valley right now. Definitely not on the same pace as two summers ago, but better than we saw over the winter. In fact, the 460 homes that sold in Ada County in April is the best showing we've had since August last year, when the mortgage lending problem happened. Year over year, April '08 was 34% below '07, but we've been 38 to 42% below in recent months. For the valley as a whole,

canyon county: Snake River Valley Parade of Homes - 06/13/07 08:15 AM
The Snake River Valley Building Contractors Association will present their 2007 Parade of Homes beginning Friday June 15 and continuing through the 24th. Hours are from 5:00pm until 9:00pm on weekdays, and from 1:00pm until 9:00pm on weekends. This is a great Parade that features builders working in the west end of the Treasure Valley and Canyon County. This year there are 30 homes on the Parade, built by 24 different builders, including an entry by students from the Nampa School District. Some of the other builders include Cotner, Holton, Meadowbrook, Morgan, Solid Rock, Status, and Tamarack. The Parade homes are spread out

canyon county: Treasure Valley Population Growth - 03/24/07 12:18 PM
Earlier this week the Census Bureau released new figures for population growth in U.S. counties. It has previously released figures that show that Arizona, Nevada, and Idaho were the three fastest growing states by percentage increase in the United States between mid 2005 and mid 2006 (3.6, 3.5, and 2.6 percent). Idaho has been the third fastest growing state for two years in a row now. The county numbers released this week show Ada county to be the fourth fastest growing county in the state, by percentage. Ada's growth of 13,617 last year was a 3.9 percent increase. Valley county (think McCall)
