hobart: Do scare tactics really work? - 12/26/08 04:22 AM
As most of you who read my blogs know, I'm in the insurance business.  I sent an e-mail at one time.  I gave a story about how a person was riding a horse and the horse bucked him off and caused massive injuries.  I went on to explain how our insurance could have helped the person in that situation.  I then asked the person to relate that experience to their lives and see how an insurance policy would be able to help them in their lives.
We all are doing things in our lives everyday that could turn disastrous and a … (1 comments)

hobart: To Sell an Invisible House - 12/26/08 04:12 AM
As I was thinking today on what to write about, I began to compare and contrast (learned that in high school language arts class) the sell of insurance and the sell of real estate.  I began to think about what are the similarities and what are the differences.  Of course the differences are somewhat quite obvious.  You sell a house.  I sell insurance.  After all, what is insurance?  You can see it.  Can't touch it.  Can't smell it, paint it, put flowers on it, you can't show it to people, can't take people on a tour of it.  What is this … (0 comments)

hobart: I'm sick today. I can't show houses for a week. What would you do? - 09/23/08 03:46 PM
This could very well be the case.  In fact, it happened to my sister.  She woke up sick and was out of her real estate business for a week.  She was on her back.  Couldn't go out, couldn't make phone calls, couldn't do anything with her real estate business.  What could she do?  I felt really bad for her but there was nothing that I could do for her.  1.  Because she was in a different state and 2.  Because I don't have a Real Estate license.  My insurance license in Indiana couldn't do a thing to help her Real Estate … (0 comments)

hobart: what would you do? - 09/02/08 12:36 PM
I must share this story with you and ask you, "What would you do?"
I was listening to the radio today and happened to catch on there that one of the radio personalities had a substitute in for him for this week and for some weeks to come.  Here's why:
"Please keep JJ in your prayers.  He had an accident this weekend.  He was taking his horse out for a ride on the family farm.  As he climbed up on the horse, the horse decided he didn't want JJ on it.  It went into a rodeo bucking.  It bucked JJ off … (0 comments)

hobart: a site to help all my real estate associates - 04/15/08 08:08 PM
Hey good people,
I have just stumbled across something that would be a wonderful tool for you.  I just began using it as an insurance agent marketing to real estate professionals so I'm waiting to see the results here soon.  But as I was thinking of better ways to reach the real estate professionals I want to reach, I began to think about YOU, the real estate professionals.  I know that marketing the properties that you have listed with you is at the heart and soul of your business.  www.emailagentflyers.com is a website that will e-mail real estate professionals by the thousands for … (12 comments)
