If it does, it likely resides in the kitchen. The kitchen is the place to gather, recap the day, cook, laugh and do homework.  It can and should be a place for cultivating happy memories.  A well planned kitchen can be one of your favorite rooms a space that makes you glad your home on a cold winters night.

 But when your kitchen fails to live up to your need your home become more of a frustration than a refuge.  That's where a good stager and their strategies come in.  Staging to live is a viable option for a homeowner who is unhappy with their space.  They will take time to nail down exactly what isn't working in the room and give you options for making the space the best it can be. The kitchen of your dreams is closer than you think. 

What's in a name?

In one of   Shakespeare's most famous plays, Romeo and Juliet, Juliet asks a question that many even today ask: "What's in a Name?"When Sue and I were trying to think of a name for our new staging business we asked this same question wanting to give it a deeper meaning. After brain storming and tossing out different ideas, we both agreed on the perfect name: Hidden Potential.www.HiddenPotentialhomestage.com

Why did we decide that?  Everyone and everything in life was created with potential. Potential is dormant ability, reserved power, untapped strength, and hidden talent. Potential is not what you have done, but what you are yet able to do! It is an untapped resource locked away. We believe that our talents and passion for design is able to uncover our clients' homes hidden potential, revealing a beautifully and desirably staged home.

Just for thought, take a look at these definitions. Hopefully this will inspire you to uncover the potential in your lives as well as the homes of your clients.

Every day I open the newspaper and see all the foreclosures I wonder why people don't sell the home before the foreclosure takes place. Yes this is a difficult and lean time for homeowners, yes, with cost of living ,inflation, gas prices,heating prices always going up and never down...can someone answer as to why the homeowner doen't sell the property before they ruin their credit?

My guess is that these are some  of the reasons why.

a.  People have purchased the home at a inflated prices in an inflated market a few years back ,now the market has shifted , resulting in a market correction which causes their property to be less valuable therefore preventing them to sell the house for at lease the purchased value. Knowing that they can't sell for what they owe because of a down market , they let the house go rather than owe thousands of dollars to the  bank. 

b. People have taken out a adjustable rate mortgages or other creative gimmicks. interest rates have gone up and people can no longer afford the increase mortgage payment because of the higher interest rate, consequently they are unable to afford the home.

c. Many couples have bought the property on two incomes. Maybe one loses a job, wife has a baby, other fiancial  obligations. I guess any number of reasons.. Life Happens!

As a Stager and investor  I have seen many properties.  I would love to come along the homeowner to help stage their property and and sell it, and help them get out of bad situation.
