15-0 and one to go! - 12/26/07 06:34 AM
This Saturday night the New England Patriots could make regular season history by going 16-0.
One problem....only certain people will be able to view this event.
In the NFL's infinite wisdom, their network, which is televising this game is not on cable networks..so unless you have a satellite dish....You are SOL!..If you have a dish,Just pray you don't have a storm that knocks out the signal...then you miss it anyway!
There is still time for one of the networks to wave a big wad of cash at the NFL and this historic game will be seen by everyone.

A New Perspective - 12/25/07 08:27 AM
If you are ever sitting there pitying yourself for things you do not have...just remember this story....
One Christmas Season, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" "It was great, Dad," replied the son "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the … (21 comments)

Pats-Jets...Will there be payback here? - 12/11/07 08:26 AM
This upcoming Sunday,December 16th...The New York Jets are coming to Foxborough Massachusetts to meet the still undefeated New England Patriots.
This is the first time they have met since the Jets turned in the Pats for spying on them in Game 1 of the season. The Pats took that game 38-14.
There is a lot of bad blood between Coach Belichick and his former assistant Eric Mangini....are we looking at a total massacre here?
The opening betting line is 24 1/2 points! How high will this go?
Might there be some weather conditions that could slow this game down?
I honestly believe the … (121 comments)

Where on earth do I get a gig like this? - 12/10/07 07:46 AM
Isiah Thomas,The President&Coach of the New York Knicks, was reportedly told by owner James Dolan that his job is not in jeopardy.
I am totally in shock....How does this guy keep getting high profile jobs and how does he keep them?
Through Saturday, the Knicks are 6-13 and  in last place in the Atlantic Division. Only the 4-15 Miami Heat have a lower winning percentage (.211) than New York (.316) in the Eastern Conference.
Two seasons ago, Thomas paid Larry Brown approximately $28 million to coach the team to the second-worst record in the league with 23 wins. If … (36 comments)

More NFL Tidbits.... - 12/09/07 07:13 AM
Colts wideout Marvin Harrison will be out for the eighth time in nine games when Indianapolis plays the Ravens on Sunday night.I wonder if the Ravens will rise to the occasion against the Colts or if they are spent after the New England game.
Rex Grossman hobbled into an uncertain future as multiple Chicago area media outlets reported that an MRI exam revealed no tear, only a sprain of the medial collateral ligament. He should be done for the season which will give savior Brian Griese a chance to add to his interception totals.
Rams quarterback Marc Bulger will not play this weekend after … (36 comments)

Fed Looks to lower interest rates again.... - 12/09/07 05:40 AM
Quite a bit has changed since the Federal Reserve intimated a couple months ago that it might be finished cutting interest rates for a while. Credit has become  much more difficult to obtain, Wall Street has shook again and they say the housing slump continued in most areas. As a result, the powers that be at the central bank now appear to have changed their minds about the need to drop interest rates again and are about to do that.
The Fed had cut rates twice this year and  Then the problems continued, leading them to suggest that one more cut might be needed.
It is expected … (14 comments)

Game of the Week Coming Sunday...Pittsburgh at New England! - 12/08/07 05:24 AM
The Game of the week in the NFL is going to be in Foxborough Massachusetts as the 9-3 Pittsburgh Steelers meet up with the still undeated 12-0 New England Patriots!
This is the #1 offense in the NFL meeting the #1 defense and something has to give!
Pittsburgh has stopped a past undefeated streak by New England and has been guaranteed a victory by some reserve named Anthony something....
Steelers safety Troy Polamalu is likely to miss Sunday's matchup which will weaken the Pittsburgh defense. Polamalu, a Pro Bowl safety the last three seasons and the team's highest-paid … (31 comments)

Back to the Blondes.....Game of Intelligence!(Today's Funny!) - 12/04/07 06:42 AM
Ok..I have had my fun with the brunettes...it is time to check on our friends...The Blondes!LOL
There was a blonde who found herself sitting next to a Lawyer on an airplane. The lawyer just kept bugging the blonde wanting her to play a game of intelligence. Finally, the lawyer offered her 100 to 1 odds, and said every time the blonde could not answer one of his questions, she owed him $5, but every time he could not answer hers, he'd give her $500.00. The lawyer figured he could not lose, and the blonde reluctantly accepted. The lawyer first asked, "What is … (17 comments)

If You Liked My Blog On Rory and Milly...You Are Gonna Love Finnegan!
These animals show, just because one is different, they can still be loved!
This woman , who plans to release Finnegan, the young squirrel, back into the wild, bottle-fed the infant squirrel after he was brought to her house.
When she took in the tiny creature and began caring for him, she found herself with an unlikely nurse's aide: her pregnant Papillion, Mademoiselle Giselle.
Finnegan was resting in a nest in a cage just days before Giselle was due to deliver her puppies.
The woman and her husband watched as the dog dragged the squirrel's cage twice … (26 comments)

Baseball's Annual Winter Meetings Start Today.... - 12/03/07 06:37 AM
Baseball's Annual Winter Meetings Start Today in Nashville and there should be plenty of activity.... There are 2 big prizes out there...Johan Santana and Miguel Cabrera.
The Yankees appeared to be close to landing Johan Santana this weekend. But enter the RedSox latest offer....
The Yankees have told Minnesota their offer of Phil Hughes, Melky Cabrera and a  prospect is a take-it-or-leave-it proposition, and they want an answer by the end of the day Monday.
The Red Sox then upped the ante by agreeing to include Jacoby Ellsbury in their offer. So even though Jon Lester and Clay Buchholz apparently are … (41 comments)

Christmas Tree Tips! - 12/02/07 09:21 PM
For many people, decorating the Christmas tree is a favorite part of the holiday. Here are some safety tips and facts for you:
Christmas Trees
A real tree can add to the spirit of Christmas by filling your home with beauty and the scent of pine. But a real tree can also pose a fire hazard. Each year, more than 400 residential fires involve Christmas trees and tragically nearly 40 deaths and 100 injuries result from those fires. Try to select a fresh tree by looking for one that is green. The needles of pines and spruces should bend and not break and … (20 comments)
