Thawing Out! Many parts of North Georgia, (particularly Ellijay, Blue Ridge and Blairsville) temps were above freezing only three times since New Year's. This week's warm up breaks a string of nights that were in the low teens or even single digit, as low as 3 degrees. Even I have to admit, that's just too darn cold !

Torrential downpours at times with Ellijay getting as much as 4 inches in just a few hours. The North Georgia Mountain creeks and rivers were rolling for sure but we were more fortunate than our neighbors to the south and west of us.
