This weekend I spent some time at The Lodge at Copperhead.  They were hosting their first annual Arts & Crafts show and it was a huge success!  Local artists displayed some of their finest pottery, gourds, fine art, jewelry, decorative paintings, wood carving, needlwork and so much more.  
 
I got to know Evelyn Gantnier who is an exceptional lady and an extraordinary talented artist.  Her original and traditional jewelry designs are handmade and I could not resist purchasing three pair of earrings. Evelyn uses beautiful Swarovski crystals … (4 comments)

Are you ready for casual jam sessions in the park? It's that time again! Jam sessions for acoustic musicians are held under the trees along the Toccoa River at Horseshoe Bend Park every Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until dusk. These sessions will continue through the end of September. Free admission to musicians fo all levels and listeners too. Picnic on the banks of the Toccoa River.




Enjoy live country and bluegrass music plus dancing every Friday and Saturday night from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Morganton Music Park. No alcoholic beverages please.

The Mountain Arts Association and many dedicated volunteers are presenting the Fourth Annual Hiawassee Festival of Arts located in the North Georgia Mountains.  One hundred local and national artists will market their wares specializing in watercolor, jewelry making, paintings, glass art and much more.

Also, they've expanded the children's pavillion where kids can make tote bags, paint and decorate tiara's with jewelry.  Live entertainment will be provided by The World Jazz and Music Society.  The festival is August 25 and 26th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
