Valley Foreclosures Drop, Repossessions Increase Nationally - 06/10/10 04:30 PM
The number of new foreclosure filings against Phoenix-area homeowners fell in May to the lowest level since July 2008.
Foreclosures also dropped last month to 4,090, their lowest since November 2009.
Nationally bank repossessions hit a record monthly high in May, according to RealtyTrac, the online marketer of foreclosed properties. Lenders took back 93,777 properties, up 1% from the previous month's record and 44% from the same period a year earlier.
The U.S. Treasury Department, which manages the federal housing plan to slow foreclosures, reported increases in both trial and permanent loan modifications in the Valley during April.

Great Downtown Phoenix living Opportunities - 06/03/10 10:13 PM
This past weekend I was previewing some condominiums and lofts in the downtown area for an out of town client, it had been a while since I had had a serious look at these types of properties.  As many of us know there was an explosion of developments in the downtown Phoenix and Tempe areas during the real estate boom.  Some of these developments were finished, some of them started and not finished, and many were not started at all.
Personally I was concerned about the value some of these developments represented during 2004-2006, with many in the $500.00/sq ft price … (0 comments)
