It is shocking when you turn on the faucet and … NOTHING happens! We expect for the water to run every time when we turn it on, but … sometimes IT DOESN’T!!

This was ONE OF THOSE TIMES. Middle of the night. Saturday and … NO WATER! When one lives on acreage it’s not a matter of calling City Water Department – nope. I needed a professional service. I needed to find someone quickly, someone who knows wells and pumps, someone I can rely on.

Fryar & Son Water Well Service installs new water systems and service the existing ones. GOLDEN PEOPLE!

And I DID! Bill Fryar rescued my little cabin, us and my d-o-g-s from drying out, being showerless, having nothing to drink, facing problems in the bathroom and … you get the picture.

Bill Fryar of Mustang, OK is the owner of Fryar & Son Water Well Service. When he heard what predicament we are in he didn’t think twice about what he needed to do. He was on the task right away. And he also came prepared. He knows his business. All necessary parts came with him … his truck was like a fully stocked shop. I didn’t have to wait till next business day. The parts were already here in the middle of the night!

Fryar & Son Water Well Service has been in business over 33 years. Bill’s father started the business when he was born. Since he could walk on his own he was by his father’s side helping him in the field.

Bill and his crew worked till the wee hours. They didn’t have to. They could have waited till next day but they chose differently. I respect people who understand the problem, assess the situation and are ready and willing to provide a solution as soon as possible. That’s when you know that you met a professional.

What fun! At first you are convinced that what you are seeing are photographs. But ... in your mind something is not clicking. You find yourself getting closer, and closer, straining your eyes, almost extending a hand ready to touch... Hmmmm .... IT IS A PAINTING!

I am so going to see it again Sunday! Love the concept and idea. And the TALENT and CREATIVITY of the artists. Fabulous exibit and fantastic time to relax and add a few more great experiences behind your belt.

This morning I was looking out the window. Glowing sunrise, patches of green, golden grass and plenty of leaves resting on my lawn and inside the creek's bed. No denying it's THE RESTING SEASON.

Nature is taking a break. What a gardener to do in times like this? While reading (with a cup of coffee, of course) I stumbled upon this cool article. Inspiration kicked in ... I will 'steal' a couple of them for my new garden to be.

Every morninig I grab a cup of coffee and retreat to my office for 'peace & quiet'. It is still dark, d-o-g-s are asleep, noone is calling ... so I read and check what's going on.

This morning I read about our state and I thought about sharing THE GOOD NEWS with you. I am really tired about doom and gloom being relentlessly hammered upon us on daily basis.

We are DOING WELL OKLAHOMA!

Yes, indeed. Our investments from previous years are paying off. The article I am referring to is: Oklahoma City metro ranks 6th in national economic growth, Brookings report finds.

THAT IS A DARN GOOD FEELING TO LEARN (my condensed version):

OKC Metro is ranked as a 6th in the nation and 71st in the world in economic growth - it is impressive that we are compared with other cities in the world
Oklahoma has recovered from the major recession
Oklahoma has outperformed US on employment growth and has nation's lowest unemployment rate
Oklahoma is expecting solid growth - 2013 projection is 2.3%
Oklahoma strong suits in helping the economy grow: energy, professional services and retail trade

What good will I read about tomorrow? Hmmmm ...
