This weekend (June 1-3,2012) there is a great "ARTS ON FIRE FESTIVAL" being presented in Scranton, PA.
The Iron Furnaces, a former working Iron Foundry from the 1840's, will be firing up this weekend for a minature demonstration of how it was done.
Glass Blowing, Pottery Making, Music and Entertainment are only a few of the items that will be taking place for this three day event.

This is a very logical answer to the dreaded question - "Is it better to paint or do the floors first?"  During times of renovation in your home is it great to have blogs like these to refer to and aid us in our decisions on the best way to do things to get them done easier and with less stress.  For me - tape before I paint! what's that?  I'm bad, I don't use tape but I do have a steady hand. Everyone should use tape when painting.

POCONO MARKET STATISTICS BY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR APRIL 2012 VS 2011 - 05/08/12 05:03 PM

The Pocono Real Estate Sold Market statistics by School District are depicted in the chart above.
As you can see the stats show the average sale price dropped in each school district.
It is nice to see that the number of homes sold in 2 of the 4 school districts went up for the Month.
Our current Absorption rate is approximately 17.4 months, a number we are not seeing drop fast enough in my opinion.

Pocono Real Estate Market Trends for April 2012 The Market Trends for April 2012 when compared to April of 2011 are partially following the same path that March did. The number of homes sold went up but the average sold price went down.
The number of homes sold went up for 2012 by 10% when compared to 2011.
The average sold price fell for 2012 by 18% when compared to 2011.
In the total number of homes sold for April, 36 of them were foreclosures, 27% of the total sales.
