The Cinco Ranch Branch library will hold its nighttime book club at 7 PM on Thursday 20, 2012. Cinco Ranch Branch Library is part of the Fort Bend Library system. All attendees will discuss the David Liss novel “The Coffee Trader’. The Library is located at 2620 Commercial Center Blvd. Katy Texas.
This book is set in the 17 TH Century and is a story about a Jewish-Portuguese refugee who has escaped from the Inquisition and subsequently becomes a coffee bean trader in Amsterdam.

West Nile Disease is showing rising number of confirmed cases in Katy Texas.
The number of confirmed cases of West Nile disease increased in Fort Bend County this past weekend by three with two of the cases coming from Katy Texas. The total of confirmed cases in Fort Bend County is now at eight with four cases originating in Katy. There have been no deaths reported due to this disease which is good news.
The most likely symptoms suffered by victims of West Nile Fever include, fever, headache, sore throat, body aches, fatigue, skin rash and swollen lymph … (9 comments)

New Kids Shoes for School Children in Fort Bend County TX
I personally just heard of this wonderful program where Fort Bend County Texas Social Services “Walk with pride” program will provide to needy kids a brand new pair of shoes to start school. Anyone wanting to participate has to register at either of two Fort Bend locations. The registration started on June 1 and goes through July 31, 2012. Next year I will publish a blog about this program much earlier but there are still two days left.

Meals on Wheels in the Katy area which is located in Fort Bend County (Residents can be residing in Fort Bend County or Harris County or Waller County) noticed that many of its clients also had pets. The sad part is the Meals on Wheels staff realized that most of their clients who owned a pet(s) were giving a majority of their food to the pet. Beazer Homes has teamed up with Taylor Morrison homes to develop and build homes in Fulshear Texas. The neighborhood is named Churchill Farms and will consist of approximately 570 homes when completed. Each of the two partners is taking a 50% share of development and home lots costs. As we all should be aware, on November 2, 2010 there is a National, State and Local elections will be held across the US and this will be an important election for many reasons. I strongly feel that every citizen in this country has not only the right to vote but also the obligation. If you feel that the current leaders in this country are not doing their jobs then get out and vote for someone new. I also feel that if you choose not to vote then you should not complain about how things are going Nationally or in the State or Locally.
