Katy Old Fashioned Christmas Festival 2016 - Rescheduled I had originally wrote a post concerning an Old Fashioned Christmas being held in Old or Historic Katy TX back on December 2, 2016. This annual event was suppose to be held on the following day or Saturday December 3, 2016. Due to fairly heavy rain in the whole area the Katy Old Fashioned Christmas was rescheduled to Saturday December 17, 2016. I have copied my prior post and updated it for this change. Katy Old Fashioned Christmas Festival 2016 On Saturday December 3 , 2016 an Old Fashioned Christmas Festival is being sponsored by Katy Market Days in partnership with the City of Katy. The Festival will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Avenue B in Old Town or Historic Katy as Avenue B is essentially where a many of the participating merchants stores are located or are located close by in Old Katy Texas. City of Katy Hosts: Baskets and Bunnies at Harvest Plaza The City of Katy Parks and Recreation is partnering with Katy Market Days on Saturday March 19, 2016 to host ‘Baskets and Bunnies” event for children. This event will be held at Harvest Plaza in Old or Historic Katy. This family friendly and fun event starts at 10 AM and will last until 2 PM.
There will be games, activities and crafts for the children while they wait their turn to to see the Easter Bunny. Children will get to visit and have their picture taken with Easter Bunny.
Old Town Katy TX hosts Katy Market Days on Saturday May 16, 2015 from 10 AM until 5 PM. This is a wonderful example of small city and business at its best. Numerous vendors with stores already located in historic Katy along with numerous other small business sellers open shop in the main section of old Katy. Tables and sometimes tents coverings are the entire store front these folks use to display their wares.

Historic Katy Texas Hosts Family Classic Holiday on the Plaza The City of Katy Texas will hold its traditional Christmas Tree Lighting on December 6, 2014 in downtown Historic Katy at the corner of Ave B and 3rd street. This corner is named Harvest Plaza and its address is 5701 3rd street Katy Texas. The tree lighting and other activities will start at 10 AM and tree lighting will be at 7:00 PM. Almost Wordless Sunday - Classic Cars at Katy Market Days I wrote a post on Friday June 20, 2014 discussing Katy Market Days held in old town Katy with a Classic Car theme. I stopped by yesterday June 21, 2014 to see the classic acrs and view wares being sold by the various vendors. There were several cars being shown and I thought it was a cool idea as there was a good sized group of people looking at the cars. The entire City of Katy TX is holding a another of their city wide garage sale on Saturday November 16, 2013. As in the past, the sale will take place rain or shine or whatever. The last City wide Garage sale that I am aware of was held in November 2012. Katy Texas Market Days in Old Katy During the last nine years on the third Saturday of every month a community shopping event occurs in Old Katy.
