The Morton Ranch High School Katy Texas Maverick Theater Company is presenting Neil Simon’s play “Rumors” at the High School starting on Thursday January 24, 2013. The play starts at 7PM and will be performed at the Morton Ranch High School Performing Arts Center Is located in Katy at 21000 Franz Road.

Veterans Day Celebration at local Katy High School I wrote a blog last week about Veterans Day Celebration being hosted by the Katy Elks which was featured by Active Rain. My wife even said “How did that blog get featured” and I said I had no idea but I am not complaining. I stated in my blog that I could not find any other Veterans Day celebrations in Katy Texas. As I have mentioned previously in a blogs, Katy ISD has 6 high Schools in its system with a seventh being built right now. Morton Ranch High School is one of these schools and is holding a Project Prom fundraiser with a bowling theme. The event will be held at Times Square Entertainment complex on Sunday January 15, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The cost is $15 per person by paying in advance and $20 per person on the day of the event.

The Interact Club of Seven Lakes High School raised over $20,000 to sponsor a special dog named Spartacus to travel to Sri Lanka to find land mines. The club members raised these funds through the school year and had support of the entire school body and the local community. Donations were received from the students plus several local businesses, Katy community members, and students at Dulles High School ( Fort Bend ISD) and Morton Ranch High School also part of KISD.
