In 2010, the average sales price for a home in Monroe County was $153,722. However, homes in Stroud Township had an average sale price of $161,312 (although that's down over 11% since 2009). Stroud Township has a couple large communities, including one of the county's largest gated communities, Penn Estates. The township consists of 34 square miles and is dedicated to increasing open space, parks and recreational opportunities. They have recently added walking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas and more.
