It's that time and it's exciting! Another ski mountain announced their opening! Tomorrow, December 4, Camelback Mountain Resort in Tannersville, PA, will be open for the weekend! Saturday's hours are 3pm to 9pm, and Sunday's hours are 10am to 4pm.  $20 will buy you the lift ticket and a free Terain Park Pass! Snowmaking will continue around the clock, so please be safe out there and have a great time! For more information, go to skicamelback.com!

The 3 day President's Day weekend brought much relief to area ski resorts here in the Poconos. Not only have we had a great ski season so far, thanks to Mother Nature, but this past hoiday weekend brought one of the best crowds in recent memory for our ski resorts like Shawnee Mountain, Camelback Mountain, Alpine Mountain and Big Boulder/Jack Frost.  One of the driving factors is the Pocono Mountains' close proximity to New York City and Philadelphia. Just a quick note to wish all my clients, friends and readers of my blog a Very Merry Christmas! It is a warm Christmas here in the Poconos, Stroudsburg and all of Monroe County with temps already well above freezing and headed for the 40's today! Should be a great spring ski day at Camelback Ski area or Shawnee Ski area for everyone who got their new ski or snoboard equipment for Christmas.

camelback ski area: A Cold Day in the Poconos and Mortgage Rates - 12/22/08 12:27 PM
Good Morning on this cold day in the Poconos. Our two winter storms over the weekend provided about 12" of snow! The town and surrounding area look so beautiful with the snow for the Holidays. It looks like we will enjoy a White Christmas this year in the Pocon Region and all of Monroe County.
The ski season is off to a great start at Camelback Ski area, Shawnee Ski areaand Big Boulder Ski area. The combination of early cold weather which allowed the resorts to begin making snow and then our own natural snow this weekend means it is shaping … (0 comments)

camelback ski area: Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow! - 12/19/08 10:19 AM
Today the Pocono Mountains are expecting 5-10" of snow! Shawnee and Camelback Ski Areas, as well as all the other ski areas in the Poconos, are gearing up for a great weekend of skiing!  East Stroudsburg, Stroudsburg, Pocono Mountain and Pleasant Valley Schools and most activities are cancelled, so grab your skis and head to the mountains! Be careful driving!  Here's a picture of what it currently looks like out there...
