It's that time and it's exciting! Another ski mountain announced their opening! Tomorrow, December 4, Camelback Mountain Resort in Tannersville, PA, will be open for the weekend! Saturday's hours are 3pm to 9pm, and Sunday's hours are 10am to 4pm. $20 will buy you the lift ticket and a free Terain Park Pass! I hope you're able to get out and enjoy all of this snow we have recieved in the Poconos this past week! The ski slopes are reay with nearly 2 feet of new snow that has fallen since Tuesday! The weekend weather is supposed to be fairly mild, so it will be a great time to throw on your skis or snowboards, or go tubing at any of our ski resorts in the Poconos this weekend! Saturday, February 27, Jack Frost Mountain in the Poconos is hosting "Ski for a Cure" Breast Cancer Awareness Day Benefiting the Susan G Komen Foundation Northeast Affiliate Get Involved. Registration begins at 8am, all proceeds from the entrance fee is donated, and $3 from every snow pass is donated to this awesome Foundation. There are many ways to participate and donate! Tomorrow, February 6th, Shawnee Mountain is hosting the Race Against Cancer from 10am to 3pm. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society in support of their mission to eliminate cancer! Skiiers and snowboarders are welcome to race this course on an intermediate level trail. Purchase a lift ticket, register at the Hope Lodge and have fun while supporting a great cause! And even better, enjoy the fresh snow that's coming tonight!

Next week at Shawnee Mountain, located in the Pocono Mountains, is Take Your Daughter/Son to the Snow Week! Beginning Monday, February 1 and running through Friday, February 5, you'll receive a free lift ticket for your son or daughter (under age 18) when you purchase a full price adult ticket! On Saturday, the mountain is hosting their first annual Blue Winter Festival. There will be lots of entertainment and activities the whole family can enjoy!
