Collier County Florida (Naples) Property Value Free Fall Ends - 05/28/11 12:50 PM
Reported in the Naples Daily News today, data from the Collier Country Property Appraiser's office shows that the rate property values are falling is beginning to plateau. This is based on the fact that property values in 2009 fell 12 percent from the previous year and the preliminary estimate for 2010 shows a decline of only 5 percent. Properties within the incorporated city of Naples are down about 2.5 percent or half what was expected.

It has been a long time coming, but it's terrific to review some very positive recent results in the greater Naples, Florida real estate market. We're just coming off the peak season now, but the results below track the previous four years. There is no question about the trends, the bottom of the market with regard to price, and the steady reduction in inventory. These data come from the Naples multiple listing service, SunshineMLS and are based on listings within covering Naples, Bonita Springs, and Estero, Florida.
