According to Phil Wood, President of a local large realty company, "With its strong market and rising prices, Naples is the exception to the two-thirds of the country experiencing real estate challenges, just as predicted by Dr. Yun of the National Association of REALTORS(r). Lee County FL (Bonita Springs, Estero, Fort Myers...) Property Values Free Fall Ends - 06/02/11 08:13 AM
Reported in The News-Press today are the preliminary property values issued by the Lee County Property Assessor. Overall, property values declined by about 5.3% in 2010. The change, compared to 2009 when property values decreased more than 14%, suggests that property values are beginning to level off.
The property appraiser reports values as of January 1 for the previous year. When the final numbers are announced it will represent the change from January 1, 2010 through January 1, 2011 - the 2010 tax year.
