New Tourism Record for Southwest Florida 2013 Collier Country Hospitality and Tourism add 1,700 new jobs in 2012 In addition to the 1,700 jobs added last year, the first quarter of 2013 was a record setter for new job creation also. The data released by Visit Florida and reported today in The Naples Daily News shows Lee County and Collier Country making major contributions to Florida's overall numbers. Collier County visitors was up 3.3% and spending was up 10.4% in 2013 over 2012 while Lee County visitors was up 9.4% but spending remained essentially unchanged.
