healdsburg real estate: Wet Weather Testing for Private Disposal / Septic Open - 03/30/12 09:04 AM
Hi Everyone, We have had a really dry winter here in Northern California. It has just been awful with a lot of sunny days with temperatures in the mid 60"s. Our sunscreen bill has gone through the roof. It is just almost unbearable (all the nice weather). There has been a downside to it and that is that there has not been enough rain to perfornm groundwater testing of new septic systems. It finally opened up Wednesday and our engineers are all over it scrambling to every site possibleto get the tests done so folks can build this summer. www.HealdsburgRealEstate.com

healdsburg real estate: Why Shop Local? The rule of seven is why! - 02/25/12 09:36 AM
The North County Council of Realtors distributed the money that we earned from our annual Fall Golf Tournament. We presented The Healdsburg Food Pantry a check for $5,200.00 and the Seniors Meals on Wheels a check for the same amount. This is the exact reason that we are always pushing to SHOP LOCAL. It has been a really tough year for Realtors and we can still all rally to get together to raise money for those that really need us. I love the term Co-Petition. The undying spirit to rally with competitors for the greater good. This goes way

healdsburg real estate: Make Web Not War - 01/18/12 12:26 PM
Make Web Not War. That is what is going on with my partners in the internet today. Many of us have gone black today. We believe that the web should be open and free. We still have no idea of the power of the web at this point. How good is all of this. The picture is of Matt Mullenweg the founder of Wordpress and I at our developers conference. Matt controls about 24% of all websites on the internet at this point and is great to get ideas from. Here is a link to his site. http://ma.tt/about/ That is what

healdsburg real estate: What Season Is This? - 01/08/12 05:54 PM
With this great weather it is still real estate season. In a rainy year we usually see a drop off in real estate business from about Thanksgiving until the Super Bowl. This year I am seeing the best winter real estate season in years. Healdsburg Real Estate.com has positioned themselves to be your greatest ally this year. There is a lot of optimism and it does not appear to be tied to the recent good jobs reports. It is coming from the fact that prices of un-distressed homes have been stable for almost a year. I have heard from

healdsburg real estate: Price Your Home Wisely In Todays Market - 11/28/11 02:09 PM
The price is right, if it sells quickly All of the housing reports that I have seen indicate that the price of housing in Sonoma County has hit bottom. This is great news but why are some homes selling while others are languishing on the market. It is truly a buyers’ market and the competition is fierce. Buyers are looking for bargains at this point. So how do you price a home in this market? In the past your Realtor would do a Comparative Market Analysis or CMA of all of the sold homes in your area. The

healdsburg real estate: Local Knowledge Is Key In Real Estate - 10/11/11 12:13 PM
I was looking at Activerain this AM and the first thing that I saw was a post from a Realtor that has the same pet peave as I do. Out of area internet Realtors that leverage the internet to gain clients from across the country then refer them to a local agent. This is a huge business and leaves the clients exposed to a rickety transaction. What is local? Well I think that it is dependent on what type of transaction that you are going to have. If it is residentail then an agent that is more than an hour away

healdsburg real estate: Enough For All Of Us - 09/05/11 05:44 PM
I am not sure that any of you ever get in a funk or not. I rarely do and when I do I know that it will pass. I just work through it. I was a bit frustrated because I was having a hard time pinpointing some information for a client which is rare for me. I went down and got some advice from one of my competitors Dave Roberts of Healdsburg Sotheby’s. Dave is a hell of a guy and the leader in real estate technology in Healdsburg. Dave always teases me and says I am number two. That is

healdsburg real estate: No News Is Good News! - 08/30/11 12:23 PM
I total up how many hours a week I work these days and when I see the total it can be tiring. I am immersed in Healdsburg Real Estate and Sonoma County Real Estate. If I am not showing property at the end of Mill Creek I am working on marketing or networking with my Facebook Healdsburg Real Estate site. Because of my work load I have to make sure I get lots of rest, go to the gym for 2 hours daily, eat right and stay grateful. My daughter helps a lot with that last part. I am

healdsburg real estate: Real Estate Is Still A Great Investment - 08/21/11 03:55 PM
I remember when I was growing up my Mom always pointing out Charlie East’s triplex on Matheson Street in Healdsburg and saying, “We could have bought that place for $46,000. It is now worth at least $500,000. conservatively. That $46,000.00 price was at a time like today during an economic downturn. So here is the scoop. How about a 1200 square foot, three bedroom, 2 bath home on a golf course within an hour of Healdsburg for $79,900. It rents for $1250.00 a month and there is a good market for renters in that area that have chosen

healdsburg real estate: Bob Santucci of Healdsburg Alive and Kicking - 07/12/11 01:45 PM
Hi Everyone, It has come to my attention that I am not posting enough here to qualify as a leader in Healdsburg Real estate. In the great words of Pat Paulsen all I can say is picky, picky, picky. I say that tongue in cheeck because this has been a very busy time in real esate for us. We have well over fifteen great listings and we are doing everything possible to provide superior custome service. The area that I have been weak in is posting here in this great community. About a year ago I started a weekly real estate column

healdsburg real estate: Healdsburg Real Estate - 04/18/11 12:54 PM
With Easter just around the corner it is a great time to reflect on what you have done best the past five years and build on that. My greatest successes have been in my ability to list homes and get better exposure than any of my competitors. I do love listing homes and all of the preparation that is needed to succeed. I have been blessed to have the best clients in the world to work with and I value those relationships dearly. We are right at the edge of a great turn around in the next several months so keep

healdsburg real estate: Get a New Smoke Detector, Not just Batteries! - 01/15/11 02:08 PM
For years now we have heard that it is good to change your smoke detector batteries when you change your clocks for daylight savings time. The truth is that since 1980 there has been a need to replace the type of smoke detectors that are in 95 percent of American homes. "They just don't do the job well enough". Says Adrian Bell at the World Fire Safety Foundation. "At least 1500 lives are lost in smoldering fires a year. For thirty years the truth about ionization smoke alarms/detectors has been kept from the public and fire fighters around the world". Says
