July 4th is America's Independence Day.  It was on that day in 1776 that those in the Second Continental Congress adopted the final draft of the Declaration of Independence.
In 1783, July 4th  became a holiday in some areas, such as Boston. In 1941, July 4th became a federal holiday.

July 4th is almost here.  With the holiday comes the most popular celebration, fireworks. 
In New York City, at the South Street Seaport, there will be Macy's annual 4th of July fireworks.  The show is incredible, with a vast amount of color and light.
