Had some great showings today with a client looking for a property on Maui.  There are some great homes to chose from in the mid $300's up to the high $400k range.  Kehalani has some great resale homes in a few of the neighborhoods.  Many of these homes are REO's and have been stripped of all appliances so depending on the loan, financing may be a problem for some buyers....The inventory seems to be about 2/3rds to 3/4ths short sales and REO's.
This is a great opportunity for people to buy or sell properties in Hawaii

I recently had a client that I represented as the buyers agent...we looked at properties for months, put in offers and finally got one under contract.  Luckily it was the best one that we had looked and an absolute steal.  Everything went well through the transaction except when we got the appraised value (VA Loan), which ended up being $10k short.  At first I thought it wasn't a big deal and $10k didn't seem like much when the property is valued at more then $500k, but it sure is ending up to be a HUGE headache.  The main problem is that … (10 comments)
