I just read the newspaper (yes I still read an actual newpaper) this morning and on the front page of the Money section was a picture of a property that was recently sold in California....for $100Mil to a Russian Billionare. I still do not understand why there are so many buyers that are still on the fence and not taking the plunge into the market. With home prices having dropped substantially and interest rates as low as they are, homes are on SALE. The economy of course is not in very good shape, but people still need a roof over their head right? If you don't own a home you are going to rent somewhere...why pay rent to someone when you could purchase a home and pay the same amount (or very close to it) monthly.
