listings: Leave the lights on, just not the candles burning! - 08/03/11 05:40 PM
I've been showing quite a few homes lately and more than a few have had lit candles through out the home. Don't get me wrong - I love candles and they do make the home smell great and create a nice ambiance - however - NO ONE IS HOME! I fight the urge to blow them out even. 
Candles cause over 15,000 home fires annually. (per the National Candle Association) - and you should never leave a candle burning out of sight! 
It just worries me - for the homeowner especially! I know most likely they did what we as agents … (4 comments)
