As you drive through Corona and Riverside, take a moment to consider the purple ribbons attached to light poles, cars, and freeway overpasses. They are here to remind us of the tragic death of 6-month-old Kaitlyn after she was left alone in a van for more than two hours at Lake Mathews in August 2000. Temperatures soared to more than 100 degrees outdoors and 135 degrees inside the vehicle.

Corona is offering two places for residents to watch movies and have fun, Movies in the Plaza and Dive-In Movies. Movies in the Plaza will be held in the Corona City Hall South Plaza (400 S. Vicentia) on Fridays in August beginning on August 10th with "Curious George". The Dive-In movies are a new event that will take place each Tuesday in August at the Centennial High School Pool (1820 Rimpau) beginning on August 7th. Alert! Planned Caltrans Closure ~ 91 Freeway at Lincoln in Corona - 08/08/07 09:29 AM
Caltrans will continue their landscape project next week, August 13 - 17. The westbound Lincoln offramp will be closed from 0900-1500 daily for construction. This is part of a $2.4 million landscape project. Plan extra time, as delays are anticipated and detours are planned.
