Phoebus
The community of Phoebus is a historic waterfront neighborhood in Hampton that is currently undergoing a revitalization effort in its historic district. Tax credits are being offered to promote business investment and restore historic buildings to their former glory. Due largely to these efforts Phoebus is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmark Register. It sits across Mill Creek from Fort Monroe and its easy accessibility to the Chesapeake Bay and Hampton Roads Harbor make it a prime location for fishing and boating.
