philipsburg: St. Maarten Sunset - 08/17/08 11:01 AM

While on vacation/shooting assignment January 2002 in the caribbean I shot this beautiful sunset over the Great Bay-Philipsburg, St. Maarten. This photo assignment was several months after 9/11 and the four islands I was shooting that month were almost deserted. There was also a palpable feeling of uneasiness in traveling to and around the caribbean at that time.
This image was shot with a Mamiya 645AFd medium format camera on Fuji NGHII 120 film.
