This decline in available inventory has lead to a rise in prices of those luxury homes that have sold by 14%. We've compiled a chart of the active luxury home for the past 5 years below. It's a volatile market, and with less inventory to choose from, Denver's luxury buyers are forced to compete with the growing pool of buyers for these homes.

Another month, another positive report for Denver luxury homes.
The numbers for November are out and Denver experienced another year-over-year gain in total sales for homes priced over $1 million. This November saw 66 homes sold in the category while last year saw 58. This year-over-year increase is consistent with almost every other month this year.
November did see a drop off from October, but it was consistent with the percentage drop-off seen every year for the season.

The August numbers are out for Denver Luxury homes and the news continues to be positive. There was a significant increase in luxury home sales in August compared to the same month last year and the year to date total is up by 42 percent compared to 2012.

The latest data from the Metrolist shows that the sales of Denver luxury homes (homes priced over $1,000,000) doubled in April of this year compared to April of 2012. This is great news and shows that the huge demand we're seeing in most segments of the Denver housing market is also being felt at the higher end of the price spectrum.
According to the latest report, there were 44 luxury Denver homes sold in April of 2012 while in April of 2013, 93 homes priced over $1,000,000 were sold.

Some more positive news for Denver Luxury Homes was reported on in the Denver Business journal today. Highlighting the latest sales numbers, Denver Luxury home sales (homes over $1 million) increased by 12 percent from January of 2012.

Buyers bought 28 such homes last month, compared to the 25 sold in January 2012. Those homes were worth $40.8 million, a 14 percent increase over the dollar volume moved in the same month last year.

InMay, buyers purchased 76 homes in the Denver market costing $1,000,000 or more. This was a 61% percent increase over May of 2011 and the best month for Denver luxury homes since August of 2008.
