Mercer Museum History By 1897 handmade objects were being discarded in favor of new machine-made goods. Historian and archaeologist Henry Mercer (1856-1930) recognized the need to collect and preserve the outmoded material of daily life in America before it was swept away by the Industrial Revolution. Mercer gathered almost 30,000 items ranging from hand tools to horse-drawn vehicles and assembled this encyclopedic collection in a system of his own devising. To enhance the collection's educational value, and to share it with the public, Mercer decided to design and build a museum to display the artifacts.

Remember Sam the Butcher?  He passed away this week.  He was Alice's boyfriend, or love interest in the Brady Bunch way way back in the 70's.  He was always a friendly guy, and seemed to bring Happiness to Alice, who was the house keeper for all those Bradys'.
His name was Allen Melvin, and he actually appeared in a number of TV Shows so many years ago.  He was always the sidekick to another main character in the show.

I spoke with an expired listing today.  Her house was on the market for 6 months in 2007, and expired in September.  I was knocking on her door the day after it expired.  You see it is a dome house, and I am one of the few that can honestly say they have sold a Geodesic Dome Home in Bucks County in 2007.

I sold a nice townhouse in Easton Pennsylvania to a young couple in 2005  Two years later, they called to ask if I could sell it for them.  They were behind in the payments, and divorce was causing things to go sour.
We listed the home for sale in  2007, and the market caused us to reduce the price below the previous selling price from two years ago.  We were informed by the lender that we did not need any approval from them until we had a fully executed agreement of sale.
