Wednesday, January 21 demolition began on the Bannister Mall. This demolition will continue in 2009 to make way for a new mixed used development called The Trails. It will be anchored by a new 18,500 seat professional soccer stadium for The Kansas City Wizards. Plans also include a 12-field soccer complex, a 250-room hotel, and retail and office space.

I like a good glass of wine, and like it even better when it's free! Luckily there are plenty of opportunities for free wine tastings around the city. These are just some of them I have heard of:
CVS Pharmacy (75& Stateline) : I've been to this one and as crazy as it sounds to have a wine tasting at CVS, there is usually quite a crowd packed into the alcohol section with various wines and usually a few appetizers.
