sierra vista homes: Property Management Referral Fees?? - 03/05/10 11:31 PM
I manage about 100 single family homes in Southern Arizona and have grown from about forty a year and a half ago. My goal a year and a half ago  was to be at 200 in two years. I have made progress with word of mouth and online marketing however I am not gaining the ground I had hoped.
How are you growing your property management portfolio?
Do any of you offer agent referrals and do they work?
What advertising has brought you the best results?
Thanks for your ideas.

sierra vista homes: Action. Thoughts and Ideas mean nothing without Action - 05/24/09 05:28 AM
Action>>>
Back in my 20's I had grand ideas that I thought could change the world but those ideas never made the leap into action — and it was probably a good thing they stayed ideas. I’ve always been a “thinker” and it’s too bad I didn’t have a great mind. When I was in my 30's I began making the transition from thoughts to actions — or, rather, I began putting my thoughts into action —
But becoming is different than thinking about it. My wife taught me a lot about becoming the other. When I thought of leaving a … (3 comments)

Why Sierra Vista Realty?

If you are moving to the Sierra Vista area from another area of the country you may not have heard of the company I work for Sierra Vista Realty.  Most of the time prospective clients have heard of Remax, Century 21, and ERA, but not Sierra Vista Realty.  My clients come from all over the US and ask me, "Why did you choose to work for Sierra Vista Realty?"  I say, "I wouldn't even think of working for any other real estate company in Sierra Vista and I think you'll see why once we view a … (0 comments)

sierra vista homes: 60,000 point tune-up - Instead of changing sparks and plugs, I realized that I needed to change my attitude - 06/27/08 03:33 AM

I am going to get a 60,000 point tune-up…. kinda like my car needs a 60,000 mile tune-up as I past the 60,000 point in ActiveRain. It seemed that only yesterday I was a fresh out of real estate school with my enthusiasm, new business cards, and my whole life and career ahead of me.
Maintaining a positive attitude through tough economic times can be difficult. The last year has been particularly difficult and I am not sure that I could have survived without  ActiveRain. Real estate is in the second year of a correction cycle, the economy is … (5 comments)

sierra vista homes: E-Pro Graduation!!!! Are designations important? - 06/25/08 03:33 AM

Are designations important? I just finished the e-Pro program and thought is was helpful and I learned some great things. I think education on a continuing basis is necessary for professional growth..... but do designations actually help you in the field? Do our clients know or care about designations? What are you doing to benefit from your designations?
Can you have too many designations? I have seen some agents' business cards look like alphabet soup. How do you let customers know that you have achieved a level of knowledge, experience, or training that others may not have?
 Can they … (1 comments)
